Strength to Move Forward

Smart, hormone-aware strength training for women 40+
Build confidence, community, and lifelong fitness

What is the WISEfit philosophy?

Strength comes first.

Muscle isn’t optional—it’s the foundation of longevity, bone health, balance, and fat loss. We train for the life we want to live, not just the size we want to be.

Ditch the endless cardio.

You won’t find 90-minute treadmill sessions here. We focus on efficient, effective training that respects your hormones, energy, and time.

Science over fads.

No Instagram cleanses. No magic powders. Everything we do is grounded in evidence-based practice—real results, real strategies, real sustainability. Bonus points if you love reading the research too!

Your starting point is perfect.

Whether it’s been 10 days or 10 years since you picked up a dumbbell, we start where you are—with zero judgment and total support.

Hormone-aware training matters.

Perimenopause and menopause change everything—your recovery time, your stress response, your sleep. We work with your body, not against it.

It’s not just about how you look.

WISEfit is about reclaiming your space, your strength, and your confidence. We train for more energy, fewer injuries, and a life that feels like yours again.

I’m Nancy.

I coach women like us.

I’m an NASM-certified personal trainer and certified nutrition coach, and “woman of a certain age” who knows what it’s like when your old workouts stop working and your body starts changing.

I was a ballet dancer, and then a fitness trainer through my 20s and 30s. I owned a stroller fitness franchise when my kids were tiny, trained clients in a big-box gym, and in my garage. And I believed I knew what worked.

But then, in my 40s, a lot of what I thought I knew stopped working.

I’ve spent years rebuilding my understanding of what it means to be fit and healthy, and I’ve renewed my training credentials in order to share what I’ve learned with other women who are looking for answers and having a hard time finding them.

We’ve taken care of others for years. It shouldn’t be so hard to figure out how to care for ourselves.

WISEfit was created to help women like us reclaim our vitality.

My passion lies in helping women gain strength, confidence, and longevity through smart, science-based training in the Castle Rock, Colorado area.

“I’ve never been a “gym person.” I went my whole life without working out and honestly never thought I needed to because I felt fine! But now that I’m in perimenopause, things have really changed. My stamina dropped, I was constantly tired, and after throwing out my back in March (which left me literally bedridden for four weeks), I realized I did not want the second half of my life to feel weak, sore, and powerless.

That’s when I found Nancy at Wisefit, and I can’t even tell you how much she’s changed things for me. I’ve been training with her twice a week, and she makes working out feel so approachable and even fun (something I never thought I’d say). She goes at my pace, and I never feel judged or embarrassed about where I’m starting from. She’s encouraging, supportive, and somehow makes me want to keep going, even when my muscles are on fire!

I started out not knowing a single thing about fitness, and now I come home feeling so proud of myself. I even catch myself showing my husband all the new moves I’ve learned. My whole family has noticed a big change in my attitude and energy. I feel stronger, more confident, and way more hopeful about what’s possible for my body.

If you’re in perimenopause or postmenopause and want someone who will meet you exactly where you are (with zero shame and all the support), I can’t recommend Nancy and Wisefit enough. She’s the best cheerleader and guide you could ask for during this tricky chapter of life!”

“I met Nancy in 2008. I had just turned 30, I had just had my 5th baby, and I was in the worst shape of my life. I was also depressed, overwhelmed, and had no energy or direction about how to improve my situation. When she took me on as a personal training client, I was amazed at the results in my first month. The support, accountability, and expertise Nancy offered was what I needed to unlock the motivation I would need to improve my wellness. After about 6 months I lost 40 pounds and was in the best shape of my adult life. Even better, my journey toward improved physical fitness helped me discover things about my mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness that I would not have found otherwise. I can only imagine how many women have and will continue to benefit from her guidance!”
